Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before accessing the Satobyte billing gateway and funding your wallet.
1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to Satobyte. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Satobyte website, mobile application, and automated utility billing gateway. By creating an account, depositing funds, or submitting order requests on our platform, you agree to be fully bound by this legal agreement. If you do not consent to all sections of these terms, you must immediately terminate usage of our systems.
2. Account Registration & Security
A. Eligibility & Information
To register a Satobyte profile, you must be at least 13 years old. Users under 18 must operate accounts under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. You are required to provide complete, active, and accurate credentials (full name, verified email, active phone number) during the registration flow.
B. Dual-Account Restrictions
To eliminate promotional abuse and ensure security compliance, individual users are restricted to a single (1) active Satobyte account. Maintenance of duplicate or fake profiles is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of all linked accounts and balance forfeitures.
C. Confidentiality of Password & Security PIN
You maintain exclusive responsibility for protecting the confidentiality of your login password and your 4-digit transaction security PIN. You agree that any utility purchase or payment finalized with your authorized security PIN is legally binding and assumed to be triggered by you. Notify us immediately at support@satobyte.com if you suspect account compromise.
3. Services & Gateway Uptime
Satobyte provides an automated bridge connecting users to telecom carriers and utility provider databases for:
- Instant mobile airtime recharges and high-speed data bundles across all Nigerian carrier channels (MTN, Airtel, Glo, 9mobile).
- Prepaid and postpaid electricity token purchases from major distribution companies (DISCOs).
- Cable TV renewals (DSTV, GOTV, StarTimes) and high-speed SLTV decoder package activations.
- Premium virtual services, including phone number rentals and static IP network configurations.
4. Wallet Deposits & Payment Terms
All utility transactions are processed through your secure Satobyte wallet balance.
- Funding Methods: Wallet funding is completed via bank transfers to dedicated virtual accounts (Moniepoint, Sterling, Wema) generated for you, or securely through card deposits.
- Non-Withdrawability: In strict compliance with CBN Anti-Money Laundering (AML) directives, wallet balances are non-withdrawable to bank accounts. Deposits are intended solely for spending on our utility services.
- Pricing: All costs are denominated in Nigerian Naira (₦). We reserve the right to adjust services pricing or charge minor gateway processing fees without prior notice.
- Automatic Reversals: If a payment is successfully charged but provider systems fail to deliver service, the gateway triggers an automated rollback. 100% of the funds are instantly credited back to your wallet.
5. User Conduct & Restrictions
You agree NOT to engage in any of the following restricted activities:
- Deploying automated crawlers, database scrapers, or bot scripts to access utility pricing or interface features.
- Attempting system intrusions, security breaches, database manipulation, or gateway reverse engineering.
- Utilizing duplicate bank accounts, stolen debit cards, or fake identity credentials to fund your wallet.
- Initiating false debit card chargeback disputes for successfully delivered utility tokens or recharges.
- Exploiting system glitches, data failures, or timing differences to generate unauthorized wallet balances.
6. Intellectual Property
All software code, database designs, platform algorithms, interface assets, company logos, graphics, and brand trademarks on Satobyte are owned by or licensed to Satobyte Technologies and are protected under Nigerian intellectual property acts and global copyright treaties. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to access our platform solely for personal utility recharges.
7. Liability Disclaimers & Limits
A. Disclaimer of Warranties
Satobyte services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any guarantees or express warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted utility connections, zero carrier network downtime, or mistake-free meter queries.
B. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by Nigerian legislation, Satobyte Technologies shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from platform downtime, lost bank transfers, failed utility transactions, or unauthorized profile access. In all cases, our aggregate financial liability shall be strictly capped at the specific Naira amount paid for the failed transaction, and shall never exceed ₦50,000.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions, and any linked legal policies, are governed strictly by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute, claim, or legal controversy arising from platform usage that cannot be resolved amicably via our support channels shall be resolved exclusively in Nigerian courts.
